Ascend Jobs LLC ("Ascend," "we," "us") builds an AI-powered job matching app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website at ascendjobs.co, including the pre-launch waitlist.

Information we collect

• Waitlist details — when you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and the role you select (Job Seeker, Employer, or Professional).
• Account & profile data — once the app launches, this may include your name, work history, skills, resume, and preferences you provide to power matching.
• Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics such as pages visited and device/browser type, used to improve the product.

How we use your information

• To notify you about early access and our launch.
• To provide, personalize, and improve job and candidate matching.
• To communicate with you about the service and respond to your requests.
• To keep Ascend secure and prevent abuse.

AI processing

Ascend uses AI (including Anthropic's Claude) to score compatibility between profiles and opportunities and to power in-app assistance. We send only the data needed for these features and do not sell your information.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Ascend (such as hosting, email, and AI processing), and where required by law. When you match with an employer or candidate in the app, relevant profile information is shared to enable that connection.

Data retention

We keep waitlist information until launch and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete it. Account data is kept while your account is active.

Your choices & rights

• You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.

Children's privacy

Ascend is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ascend grows. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
